Design

Led design from concept to completion for social media, display, email, direct mail, and onsite/in-platform assets. Fluent in compliance and legal guidelines for marketing in the financial industry, designing and directing creative assets with messaging and visuals that are compliant and true to brand. Amplified the PayPal brand through authentic storytelling and inspiring and relatable  messaging to drive deeper and broader relationships with consumers across products. Successfully illustrated PayPal’s business financing products as trustworthy, safe, and tailored alternatives to traditional business lending.

Direction

Directed in-house creatives and managed multiple high-volume/high-spend agency relationships, from budgeting to facilitating feedback and directing creative. Routinely persuaded marketing stakeholder approvals with trusted channel expertise. Directed and produced PayPal merchant testimonials across the US. Leveraged US creative and marketing expertise to scale campaigns across UK, Germany, and Australia, spearheading the production and distribution of a Marketing Toolkit & Asset Sharing protocol to aid global product expansion.

Strategy

Engaged cross-functionally with strategy, channel, and campaign teams to drive product visibility and conversions through highly-targeted marketing strategies. Established testing calendars and strategically scaled creative output, which has allowed marketing to effectively increase marketing spend while maintaining efficient CPAs.

Designed creative that guided and pushed customers through the conversion funnel from awareness, through application, approval, document upload, and adoption.

Evolving merchant portal marketing

Quarterbacked re-design, strategy and performance analysis of on-merchant dashboard marketing, including interstitials, feed notifications, and leaderboards. Adapted to changing UI updates while maintaining best marketing practices. Effectively doubled loans funded within the channel in first year.

Implementing email nurture campaigns

Implemented cohesive cross-channel campaign creative. Supporting email designers and channel owners in development of monthly and triggered email assets. Collaborated with strategy and channel to implement creative testing on a monthly basis, from subject line tests to animated hero images.

Scaling digital channel creative

Achieved an increased digital marketing creative output and established creative optimization testing to satisfy increased marketing demand, an integral piece of the success and significant YOY growth of digital channels (16% over plan for 2019), channel expansion (2x 2018). Served as in-house digital creative expert, providing insights and best practices on all things social media and display.

Optimizing direct mail controls

Spearheaded redesign of control letters, advocating for continued optimization efforts on a regular basis. Developed monthly adhoc mailers in addition to tailored mail pieces for audiences at every stage of the funnel.
